Tigermed Acquires Micron to Expand Imaging and CRO Services

Tigermed, a global leader in clinical research solutions, has proudly completed the acquisition of Micron, Inc.—a highly respected Japanese Contract Research Organization (CRO) known for its pioneering work in medical imaging and clinical trial support. This acquisition marks a significant milestone for both companies and strengthens Tigermed’s foothold in Japan and the broader Asia-Pacific region.

Founded in 2005 and headquartered in Tokyo, Micron has spent nearly two decades shaping the clinical imaging landscape. With a team of over 160 professionals, including the largest group of imaging experts in Asia, Micron has supported more than 250 clients and contributed to the successful approval of over 40 therapeutic products. It was the first CRO in Japan to specialize in imaging and has built a strong reputation through its early adoption of imaging biomarkers, AI-powered imaging tools, and deep client trust across the medical field.
